Tough Girl (not GUY) Tuesday

Our CrossFit gym has a class entitled "Tough Guy Tuesday" every Tuesday following the 12pm group class. Tough Guy Tuesday isn't just a clever name, however; only guys seem to come to the class. Why, you ask? Many women are afraid of bulking up and looking like one of those women competing in the fitness competitions. No matter how much weight a woman can lift (I can dead lift 215), you won't bulk up. In order to look like one of those women, you have to try your hardest to do so: eating an abnormal amount of food and taking supplements for weight gain, etc. Otherwise, you'll just be a super strong, LEAN, kick-ass woman. Beware men, looks can be deceiving! ;-)

I just recently joined the Westlake CrossFit trainers in hopes of inspiring more women to embrace the fitness and nutrition lifestyle we live, breathe, and promote. I can't wait for this to get going, I've already got a boot camp starting up this Monday, May 3!

Oh by the way, in case you were wondering, I worked out with these "Tough Guys" today and held my own. Women represent!
